Ladbrokes is one of the most widely recognised names in today’s sports betting sphere. They are of the longest established UK firms and continue to deliver both in terms of value and service to their customers. Ladbrokes continues to attract new clients in their droves thanks to the highly acclaimed F50 (£50 free bet) welcome offer. This is one of the strongest and most appealing offers available to new customers in today’s market. About

Ladbrokes was originally formed in 1886 without an official name, however in 1902 Ladbrokes was created. The name was actually taken from the local village of Ladbroke. In the early days the majority of Ladbrokes customers were elite clientele from members clubs. As time went by Ladbrokes realised that they would need to open doors to the general public if they were to grow into a nationwide company.

Ladbrokes.com was first introduced in 2000, however at this time the primary focus of the business was to focus on the retail shops. Online was seen as less important to begin with, but as the popularity of betting online grew so did the shift in focus from retail to online. The bookmaker still has a strong high street presence but is very much one of the biggest players online.

In 2017, Ladbrokes was part of a successful merger with Gala Coral Group (Coral), as a result they became the largest bookmaker in the United Kingdom. The companies decided to remain as two distinctive brands alongside retaining their individual core values and USPs.

Best Odds Guaranteed Plus

One of Ladbrokes key features is Best Odds Guaranteed Plus. This is similar to best odds guaranteed which is available at most of the major bookies, but Ladbrokes have taken this to the next level. If the SP is bigger than the price you’ve taken not only will Ladbrokes match it, they will actually boost it! This is great for all punters and is available on all UK & Irish horse racing for bets placed online and via mobile. This feature not only reassures punters when taking a price but also if a horse does go offer bigger price then this ensures the best possible pay out thanks to Ladbrokes Best Odds Guaranteed Plus.

Betting Markets Available

As Ladbrokes is first and foremost a Sports bookmaker they offer a huge range of sports betting markets. The primary focus will of course be football, however they also have extensive markets on golf, tennis, rugby (league and union), horse racing, NFL, greyhound racing, boxing and darts to name a few.

Streaming and In-play Betting

One of Ladbrokes main strengths is that it offers streaming for it customers on so many major sporting events. This improves the betting experience for punters because they can easily place their bet then cheer their selection on across a multitude of sports.

Thanks to recent significant improvements to their mobile app, in-play betting is very user-friendly and is one of their key strengths. Punters have the ability to stream and bet on a selection of major sporting events every day, with the main focus being on football, alongside great greyhound and horse racing coverage.

Cash-Out

Ladbrokes offers customers the option to cash out their bets before the match/ event has finished for a reduced return. This is great for punters who can’t stomach the last leg of a football accumulator or don’t like the look of a horse in-running. Cash out is available both through the app and online in the open bets section. Once cashed out any returns will be added to your betting balance. If cash out is unavailable for a certain bet then the cash out option will be greyed out. Ladbrokes cash out is even available through the grid – please see online for more information on this.

Mobile App

It is unfortunate that Ladbrokes were slow in adopting an online focus to their however it is now clear that their mobile app and site have been improved immensely and can now compete with the likes of Bet365, Paddy Power and William Hill.

Until recently it was difficult to navigate and felt clustered when choosing your bet. However, after making significant improvements to layout and functionality the app. has really lifted Ladbrokes to where it should be in the industry.

Their App can be downloaded from either android or Apple stores depending on device.
